There are prairie dogs at the Greenburgh Nature Center–but don’t expect to see them if you go. Not until spring, anyway. They spend a significant portion of their time underground during the winter months, and we know they’re there mostly because we knock the ice out of their water and refill it each day.
Likewise, the JCW crew have been a bunch of prairie dogs this winter. We’re still here! Doing great stuff! But mostly where it’s not visible–ie, not on this site. So here is a quick hello, and a little creation from our winter hibernation so you can see what we’ve been up to. Expect to be hearing more about our upcoming events as this somewhat-wintery-winter turns into spring. We’ll be seeing you and the prairie dogs soon!
